Interested in Summer Session?  in Buff Portal, which typically opens in late February, to see how much aid you can get for summer.

Summer aid, including summer work-study, is separate from your fall and spring aid. Visit the Office of Financial Aid’s Summer School page to better understand your summer financial aid eligibility. 

Â鶹ÒùÔº offered aid are expected to be familiar with , including how adjustments to your schedule can change aid, academic requirements to keep aid and what happens to aid if you withdraw.

Financial Aid Refunds

Financial aid, with the exception of work-study, will be applied directly to your tuition and fee bill, and any funds exceeding the bill will be refunded to your bank account by direct deposit approximately three days before classes begin.

Depending on which sessions you take, financial aid refunds begin being processed around the following dates: May 9, May 30, July 3 and August 1.

Note: These dates are tentative and subject to change. Visit the Bursar’s website for the most up-to-date information. No refunds processed on June 30.

Student Employment

In addition to financial aid, students can find a summer job to help pay for college expenses.

Another option is summer work-study, need-based financial aid earned through part-time employment.

Special Populations

Non-degree students typically are not eligible for financial aid. However, if you are taking preparatory courses for a graduate program, or second undergraduate program, federal loans may be available on a limited basis. Visit the financial aid for non-degree students page for more information.

Additionally, non-degree students can apply for the through Continuing Education.

Graduate student aid is typically limited to your remaining loan eligibility from the previous school year. View graduate loan options.
