Title:ÌýData Collection and Analysis in a Flight Simulator Experiment

Description:ÌýWe are seeking a motivated student researcher to assist with a study on human trust in autonomous systems. The role involves conducting experiments in which human subjects will be flying a fighter jet cockpit simulator with an autonomous co-pilot, and the student researcher will gather psychophysiological and behavioral data, as well as analyze results to develop predictive trust models. Coding skills (MATLAB, Python, C#, or similar) and the ability to work with technical documentation are required. Ideal candidates will be pursuing a degree in a relevant science or engineering field (biological sciences, aerospace engineering, or similar) and interested in autonomy, dynamic trust modeling, human factors, and data collection and analysis.
Required: Progress towards a degree in STEM and the ability to attend team meetings. It is desirable, but not required, to have previous research experience, particularly with human subject experiments, or Unity programming.
