Chautauqua Hike with a ScientistÌý
Join Lon Abbott, teaching professor, and Suzanne Anderson, professor, from the Department of Geological Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder, on a short, fun, and informative hike through Boulder's Flatirons. During our mini adventure, which will depart from Chautauqua Park, Lon will cover the area's deep, 1.7-billion-year geologic history, while will focus on how the repeated shifts between glacial and interglacial conditions over the last two million years have shaped the spectacular landscape we enjoy today.Ìý

CU Boulder’s ATLAS Institute is where radical creativity and invention, technology, design and art come to life. From virtual reality to board game design and shape-changing robots, researchers at ATLAS are reimagining the way that humans interact with the world and each other. On this tour, you’ll visit various labs and see the full spectrum of radical creativity and design on offer. Ìý
The Media Archaeology Lab TourÌýÌý
The Media Archaeology Lab (MAL) was founded in 2009 by Associate Professor Lori Emerson. It is generously supported by the College of Media, Communication and Information, the Department of English at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and numerous donors, particularly Brad Feld and Google. It has also been supported by the Center for Humanities and the Arts as well as the ATLAS Institute. Our motto is “the past must be lived so that the present can be seen.â€Ìý
