CU-Boulder Readies for Flu Clinic as First Four Cases are Confirmed

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY Photographers are welcome to take photos of students, faculty or staff members getting flu vaccinations today from 2:45 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Wardenburg Health Center at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Wardenburg Director Robert Cranny is encouraging students, faculty and staff members to participate in Thursday's annual flu and meningitis clinic. According to Dr. Thomas Kunstman, the CU-Boulder clinic has confirmed four cases of Type A influenza from walk-in cases this morning. All of the confirmed cases are of CU-Boulder students.

CU-Boulder Launches Campaign To Improve Fan Behavior

CU-Boulder To Host Student Award Luncheon Nov. 13

The University of Colorado at Boulder is hosting the Achievement Rewards for College Scientists Foundation's annual luncheon honoring some of Colorado's top science students on Thursday, Nov. 13, at noon at the Millennium Hotel in Boulder. At the private luncheon, the Denver chapter of the ARCS Foundation Inc. will give $149,000 to 29 science students from CU-Boulder, Colorado School of Mines, Colorado State University and CU-Health Sciences Center. The scholarships go to students who demonstrate strong character, excellence in their work and financial need.

CU-Boulder Faculty, Â鶹ÒùÔº, Public Debate U.S. Foreign Policy, Including Iraq

The event will be held on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in room 250 of the Eaton Humanities Center. The Eaton Humanities Center is located on the Norlin Quadrangle northwest of CU-Boulder's Norlin Library. The event is free and open to the public.

Films Of Stan Brakhage Presented By CU-Boulder Friends Of The Libraries

The CU-Boulder Friends of the Libraries will present five films and discuss the life and work of internationally known avant-garde filmmaker Stan Brakhage in "Movshovitz 'Illuminates' Brakhage" on Friday, Nov. 14. The event, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 7 p.m. in room 1B50 of the Eaton Humanities Building on the University of Colorado at Boulder campus. A reception will follow the presentation. Pay parking will be available in the Euclid Avenue Autopark.

Attorney General Salazar Recommends State Archives As Repository For Columbine Records And Evidence; Urges Review And Report By CU-Boulder Expert

Public tours, lectures, celestial and solar viewing and a fundraising dinner and silent auction will be part of the anniversary celebration. Former astronaut Jeffrey Hoffman, who has flown five space shuttle missions, is expected to speak at the fundraising dinner.
