Latest in new chancellor process: Open forums, anonymous survey
CU Boulder students, faculty and staff had the opportunity on Thursday, April 4, to meet Justin Schwartz, finalist for the chancellor position at CU Boulder.
Three separate open sessions were held for faculty, staff (at the Glenn Miller Ballroom) and students (at the UMC Aspen Rooms), allowing participants to hear from Schwartz during his April 4–5 visit to campus. The sessions were also livestreamed.
In the moderator-led sessions, Schwartz discussed his background and vision for the future of CU Boulder. The sessions also were largely driven by a variety of audience questions, both from in-person and online attendees.
Moderators Chase Cromwell, external affairs tri-executive for the CU Student Government; Jasimine Evans, the immediate past president of Staff Council; and Shelly Miller, the chair of the Boulder Faculty Assembly, presided over the student, staff and faculty forums, respectively. Each moderator is a member of the chancellor search committee.
In the next step of the process, , and the campus community is invited to leave feedback about Schwartz. The feedback will be compiled for CU President Todd Saliman’s review.
