This week brings to campus numerous Fall Welcome events, Health Huts, a campus sustainability tour, BuffStreet on The Hill, CUnity Fest and more.

Fall Welcome Events

Learn more about academic programs, ways to get involved and meetnew Buffs at a variety of Fall Welcome events . Check out Connect at the Rec, Buff Meet Ups and more this week.

Monday, Aug.23

Mindful Mondays: First day of classes

2–3..West Solarium, Wardenburg 321
Use the first day of classes to get help planning your goals. Learn how you can use mindfulness to help you stay present throughout the semester.


Tuesday, Aug.24

Health Huts

2–4p.m.The Rec Plaza
Enjoy chair massages, acupuncture and relaxation exercises to start the year off right. You can sign up for a massage time at the event, and learn about stress reduction while you wait.

7–9p.m.UMC Ballroom
All you crafty Buffs out there: join your fellow Buffs at DIY Night! Take time out of your week to relax and craft with your peers. Come choose from several different Do It Yourself (DIY) projects that will add color to your room or apartment.

Be Involved Fair

3 p.m. Norlin Quad
Come explore, find your community and get involved at the Be Involved Fair! Check out the many options and ways to get involved on and off campus. Whether you join a student organization, work an on-campus job, volunteer in your community the fair is a great place to get to know your possibilities.

11 a.m. to noonUMC Fountain
Get connected with incoming students who live off campus and are commuting this fall! Be sure to register in advance to reserve your spot.


Thursday, Aug.26

Noon to 1p.m. Environmental Center: UMC room 355
Come learn what makes CU Boulder one of the most sustainable campuses in the nation! From pollinator gardens to bike stations, solar panels and more! Tours are open to all mobilities. , group size is limited.

4–7p.m. Sewall Field
Connect with your student communities at CUnity Fest, while learningabout campus resources and meeting student organization and multicultural Greek leaders as well as staff from the Center for Inclusion and Social Change and other campus units. The event will feature free food, games, music (DJ Ambitious Boy) and more.

6–8p.m. Student Recreation Center
Enjoy a relaxing sunset hike at Chautauqua Park, the coolest park around.Registration required by August 25 at 8 p.m.

6–9p.m.
Stop by thisfree event series on The Hill that will feature various live musical acts. Don't miss it!


Friday, Aug.27

5–6p.m. Rec Center, Studio 1
Join the Rec Center for a free power barre class! This barre-inspired class provides total-body conditioning by combining the movements found in athletics, pilates and ballet. This low impact class will target your hips, thighs, glutes and abs.
