Plenty of action at home this week for CU athletics

The Colorado men's basketball team plays two games this week while the tennis and lacrosse teams get ready to kick off their 2020 seasons.

Men's basketball

The Colorado men's basketball team, ranked 23rd in the most recent Associated Press poll, plays host to a pair of Pac-12 schools this week at the CU Events Center. On Thursday, Jan. 23, the Buffs will play Washington State at 8 p.m. for Buffs Going Bananas night; be sure to wear your banana or craziest costume! You can also sign up for the chance to shoot a half court shot to win $1,500. Thursday night will also be National Healthy Weight Week and Coaches vs. Cancer. Be sure to arrive early for yoga on the concourse before the game and a chance to win free yoga for a month! Fans can purchase two reserved bench tickets and two drinks for only $40 by using

Then, on Saturday, Jan. 25, the Buffs will take on Washington at 7 p.m. for Stranger Things Night. Early arriving fans will receive a free Stranger Things-themed team poster. Â鶹ÒùÔº are admitted for free with their CU Sports Pass, or tickets can be bought at the door for $10.  By using fans can purchase a reserved bench ticket along with a popcorn for only $28. at the CU Events Center today!

Tennis

The Colorado tennis team begins their season on Friday, Jan. 24, as they play against Colorado State in the home opener at 2 p.m. On Saturday, Jan. 25, they host Air Force, also at 2 p.m. Â鶹ÒùÔº and fans who arrive early to the Air Force match will receive a free CU tennis ball. Both matches will be played at Rocky Mountain Tennis Center, located off of Taft Drive, and admission is free!

Lacrosse 

The Colorado lacrosse season is right around the corner, and the Buffs will host an open scrimmage against Northwestern on Sunday, Jan. 26, at 11 a.m. at the Indoor Practice Facility inside the Champions Center. Admission is free all season long!
