This week brings a writing and editing workshop for your final essays,听free guided meditation,听a delicious Hanukkah dinner, the听annual Fun Before Finals event,听Menorah Lighting at Pearl Street Mall, a Fiske show exploring the origin of holiday lights,听free night of ice skating,听Finals Free Week at The Rec,听Dianne Reeves holiday concert and, last but certainly not least, Late Night Breakfast. Make writing those last few essays way easier with the Student Academic Success Center's听free writing and editing workshop from 11 a.m. to noon in Fleming 170. Bring your drafts and get tips from the helpful SASC staff on how to get your best final essay grades.
From noon to 1 p.m.,听find your blissful Zen with a free guided meditation in Norlin M210. Take advantage of this opportunity to de-stress and focus before finals begin to optimize your results.

For you Jewish Buffs out there, celebrate Chanukah (Hanukkah) at , 909 14th St.,听with a delicious Chanukah dinner and latke bar starting at 7 p.m. There will be menorahs to light, as well as a special dessert. Plus, taking place through Dec. 19.
The Dennis Small Cultural Center hosts a super popular annual Fun Before Finals event, which will be held from 4 to 8 p.m.听in UMC 204, with a different fun activity occurring every hour. There will be a wide array of holiday-themed arts and crafts, as well as pizza and pastry, all of which is totally free! Everyone is invited.
Hanukkah runs from Dec.听12听through Dec. 20, so celebrate the second night with a Boulder community menorah lighting at 5:30 p.m. on the . There will be plenty of free food and live music, as well, for your enjoyment.

Season of Light screening
Come get in the holiday spirit with a festive and colorful film on the Fiske Planetarium dome starting at 7 p.m. Learn about the history of holiday lights in many traditions, including Christian, Jewish, Celtic, Nordic, Roman, Irish, Mexican and Hopi. Tickets are $10.

Buffs on Ice
As part of the Buffalo Nites series, the Center for Student Involvement is hosting a free night of ice skating from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Rec Center Ice Rink. Not only is skating free, but there will also be free snacks and hot cocoa, as well. Enjoy!

Finals Free Week at The Rec
Finals week is arguably the best week for working out at the Rec Center, because everything from climbing to ice skating to fitness classes is free, and there will also be relaxation stations featuring massage, aromatherapy and hot tea later in the week. From Dec. 16鈥�23, the Rec Center will be your haven of sweating out the stress. for a schedule of all the free activities.
Join the stunning Grammy-winning jazz/R&B singer Dianne Reeves for a merry concert at 7:30 p.m. in Macky Auditorium. She will be singing holiday classics and favorites to ring in the festive season, so don鈥檛 miss out! Tickets start at $15.
Monday, Dec. 18
Is there anything so satisfying as free late-night breakfast food during an exam week? There will be tons of fun activities to partake in during your study breaks from 8 to 10 p.m. in the UMC, followed by plenty of free food鈥攊ncluding a breakfast burrito bar and eggs, bacon听and potatoes鈥攆rom 10 to 11 p.m. in the Alferd Packer Grill. All this is free;听just bring your Buff OneCard.
