The holiday season is a time of year that often asks us to reflect on the meaning of our lives and invites us to change. The Career Exploration Workshop features hands-on exercises anddiscussions thathelp you discover your career passions by identifying who you are through your interests, values, skills, strengthsand personality type. No matter where you are in your career, this class steers you in adirection that will bring you satisfaction.
The course is taught by Dahlia Smith, a licensed clinical social worker with over 21 years of experience who counsels job seekers, students and career changers.
“I believe that people ultimately have the desire to make a fulfilling contribution during the course of their lives,” Smithsays. “What better way to do that than through a meaningful career?”
Workshop Details
The six-week course meetsevery Thursday from Jan. 19 to Feb. 23atthe Continuing Education building, conferenceroom 306,located at 1505 University Avenue. Participants can choose from two sections:
- 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The cost of the workshop is $250, which includes individual career advising sessions after the workshop ends.
The application deadline is Thursday, Jan. 12.
