The CU Parents Association at the University of Colorado at Boulder has awarded $42,000 in grants to 22 campus organizations that help enrich student life.
The grants are awarded annually to CU-Boulder organizations whose projects build community, promote diversity, improve student safety or meet other association goals.
This year's recipients include the Hmong Student Association, a student organization that educates the public about the Hmong community through events and community service; the CU Dialogue Network, composed of faculty, staff and students who engage the campus in constructive conversations about campus community issues; and Family Housing's Children's Center, which provides high-quality programs for the children of students, faculty and staff attending CU-Boulder.
"The Parents Association is very pleased to provide annual grants to a variety of excellent programs that will positively impact many CU students," said Peter Simons, director of the Office of Parent Relations.
The grants are made possible through gifts to the Parent Fund and other fund-raising efforts.
