Local students were among the 1,981 students who received degrees Dec. 20 during winter commencement at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
The ceremony was held in the Coors Events/Conference Center on the CU-Boulder campus.
Outstanding graduates named by the schools and colleges for the winter 2002 commencement were Anya Miller of Hixson, Tenn., College of Architecture and Planning, bachelor's degree in architecture; Laurie Wilson of Westminster, Leeds School of Business, bachelor's degree in accounting; and Caleb Starbuck of Montrose, College of Music, bachelor's degree in music education.
Also named as outstanding graduates were Celeste Leidich of Golden, College of Engineering and Applied Science, bachelor's degree in architectural engineering; Elissa Lunney of Colorado Springs, College of Arts and Sciences, bachelor's degrees in political science and classics; and Renee Hill, of Loveland, School of Journalism and Mass Communication, bachelor's degree in broadcast production.
