Local business executives and other members of the community will roll dice, spin roulette wheels and play blackjack for a good cause on Friday, Sept. 27, as part of the 10th Annual Barney Ford Diversity Benefit and Casino Night to raise money for increasing diversity in the Leeds School of Business MBA program.
Colorado's Graduate Â鶹ÒùÔº of Business Association is hosting the event on Friday at the Coors Events/Conference Center, beginning at 6 p.m. The goal is to raise money for the Barney Ford Endowment, which assists the MBA program in building a more diverse student population.
In addition to the gaming tables, an auction will be featured in which participants may bid on prizes with the "fun money" they win during the night. There also will be music, food, drink and a raffle and silent auction. The entry fee is $20 per person and each participant will be given $50 in "fun money" for gambling.
Corporate sponsors have donated Broncos and Avalanche tickets, a five-night stay at The Shores Villa resort in Arizona and other items for the raffle and auction. Some of the sponsors include Sun Microsystems, IBM and Westland Development Services.
