The Department of Housing at the University of Colorado at Boulder will hold its 12th annual Global Jam smorgasbord of culturally diverse foods on Thursday, Sept. 12, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Farrand Field.
According to Hall Director Holly Holliday, this year's menu will be prepared by Housing's dining services and will feature African, Spanish and American Indian foods. Some of the foods to be served will include spicy buffalo chili, roasted corn, fideos con gambas, garbonzos con cebolla, gazpacho and various other entrees.
Entertainment will include an American Indian tribute, an honoring song by Doug Foote and contemporary music by Alicia. Strolling artists also will entertain those attending the Global Jam.
Cost for the dinner is $10 for adults and children over age 13 and $5 for children age six to 12. Children under six and students who have a residence hall meal plan with a valid ID can eat for free.
In case of bad weather, Global Jam will be held in campus dining centers to be announced.
