University of Colorado at Boulder Leeds School of Business Dean Steven Manaster has appointed five new members to the school's Business Advisory Council.
The new members are Jimmy Calano, Nora Feeley, Paul Jerde, Jerry McMorris and Clay Timon. These accomplished executives from a variety of professional backgrounds will bring a wealth of experience as they advise the school's administration, Manaster said.
The BAC is comprised of school alumni and friends who meet with school representatives twice a year to advise them on recruitment, establishing business partnerships and improving the education of students at all levels in the school. The council has played a leadership role in some of the school's major advances, including developing a curriculum focused on the relationship between business and society, restructuring the MBA program and creating a new brand design for the Leeds School.
"The tremendous amount of business knowledge and experience that the council members contribute is crucial to the overall success of the school," said Manaster. "They integrate their familiarity of CU with outside business perspectives, which provides the ideal combination for great leadership."
The executive experience of the new BAC members includes the following:
Calano is the retired co-founder and CEO of CareerTrack, a Boulder-based international training company. After building CareerTrack's revenues to $80 million, Calano sold the company to TCI (AT&T) in 1995. He is co-author of two best-selling books and is a graduate of the CU-Boulder business school.

She is responsible for the creation, development and implementation of company-wide community affairs strategies and initiatives to support the company's corporate marketing and public affairs goals. Prior to joining Cablevision, Feeley served as president of Event by Nora, a Denver-based event marketing company. She earned her MBA from CU-Boulder's Executive MBA program.
Jerde is co-founder of Corboy and Jerde, LLC, an investment banking firm specializing in private transactions for emerging growth and medium-sized companies.
