The CU Parents Association has awarded nearly $40,000 in grants to a variety of programs designed to enhance the experience of undergraduate students on the Boulder campus.ÌýÌý

Preference was given to projects that met the association's goals of enriching student life, building community, promoting diversity, improving student safety, enhancing career counseling and improving communication with parents and students.

"The Parents Association is very pleased to provide grants to a variety of excellent programs that will positively impact many CU students," said Peter Simons, director of the Office of Parent Relations.

Grant recipients include Career Services, the Cultural Unity Center, the Dennis Small Cultural Center, the International Festival Committee, the Office of Judicial Affairs, Program Council, the Office of Student Programs, the University of Colorado Student Union, the University Memorial Center games area known as the Connection and the Wardenburg Health Center.

Funding for the annual grants program is made possible through gifts to the Parents' Fund and other fund-raising efforts.Ìý

The CU Parents Association provides a variety of services to parents, students, faculty and the campus administration, and sponsors numerous activities, including Parents Weekend, orientation activities, scholarships and grants.

Parents of undergraduate students enrolled at the university automatically become members of the CU Parents Association. No fees or dues are required.
