EDITORS: In some cases, members of the press can arrange meetings with these business leaders prior to or following their lectures.
CEOs and founders of Quizno's Corp., Agilent Technologies and other leading companies will discuss lessons learned from their successful business careers with CU-Boulder students at lectures throughout the fall semester.
The Fortune 500 executives and entrepreneurs will speak at class lectures of the Profiles in American Enterprise course.
"By hearing about the successes and pitfalls of the country's most dynamic businesspeople, students learn about the intricacies of world business," said Kristen Hislop, director of the program.
Speakers also will include executives from UnitedHealth Group, EMC, Affordable Residential Communities and the mayor of Orlando, Fla. They will address issues facing the marketplace and offer students career advice. The course is a requirement for business majors.
Non-students may attend the classes on a space-available basis in room 100 of the Mathematics Building on the CU-Boulder campus. Classes also may be viewed via a live video feed in room G1B30 in the Duane Physics Building, also on the Boulder campus. Room G1B30 is located on the ground level of the G wing in the physics building.
