Top minority MBA students from around the country will attend the ninth annual University of Colorado at Boulder Andersen Consulting Leadership Seminar July 12-16.
The seminar is one of the nationÂ’s most comprehensive forums for MBA students to create solutions to e-business problems, develop leadership skills and network with peers, respected academics and business leaders.
"The CU-Boulder College of Business believes diversity has high value in the education process and in the workplace," said Steven Manaster, dean of the CU-Boulder College of Business and Administration. "We are committed to increasing diversity on campus and in industry. Our sponsorship of this seminar is one way we reach that goal."
More than 30 students from 13 top graduate programs will work in teams to study and modify the business model of a dot.com start-up company. In the process, they will develop leadership, communication and critical thinking skills. The teams will present their ideas to judges that include members of prominent Denver e-commerce companies, Andersen Consulting executives and CU-Boulder faculty.
Participating students are from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Arizona State University, Florida A&M, Ohio State University, University of Arizona, University of Florida, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of Maryland-College Park, University of Minnesota, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, Vanderbilt University, University of Washington, the National Black MBA Association and the National Society of Hispanic MBAs.
The seminar is co-sponsored by the University of Colorado at Boulder College of Business and Administration, Andersen Consulting, the National Black MBA Association, the National Society of Hispanic MBAs and participating universities.
