The Office of Diversity and Equity at the University of Colorado at Boulder will host the 1999 Equity and Excellence Banquet on Monday, April 26.
The awards banquet dinner and graduation ceremony will be held at the University Memorial Center Glenn Miller Ballroom from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Equity and Excellence Awards are given to faculty, staff and students whose accomplishments focus on efforts to promote the principles of academic excellence, cultural pluralism and diversity.
The winners include undergraduate students Tobey Cho, Spanish major, and Robert Espinoza, advertising major; graduate student Tammie Maldonado, a major in environmental, population and organismic biology; faculty member Maria Franquiz, a professor in the School of Education; and staff members Jim Davis-Rosenthal, of Student Academic Media Services and Monteith Mitchell, of Institutional Relations.
