Student Conduct Appeal Board
The Student Conduct Appeal BoardÌýis a group of University of Colorado faculty, staffÌýand students outside of SCCR who are trained to review case files submitted for appeal. The Student Conduct AppealÌýBoard looks objectively at the information provided to decide if there is grounds for appeal and what action if any should be taken. CU Restorative Justice
The CU Restorative Justice Program (CURJ) is all about repairing harm and making things right. The program’s goal is to help students recognize that the mistake they made impacted more people than just themselves. Restorative justice allows students to share their stories with others in the community, including faculty and staff. Together, the student and those impacted address the harms and impacts of their actions, and develop a plan to make things right.
Faculty have the professional responsibility to treat students with understanding, dignity and respect, to guide classroom discussion and to set reasonable limits on the manner in which students express opinions.
We recognize that managing classroom behavior can be challenging.ÌýSeveral articles exist that discuss various styles and approaches to classroom management. We have attached a few articles to reference. The articles are not specific to the University of Colorado, so please reference our specific policies and procedures or consult with your department chair before implementing a new process.
