Religious Studies Student Carly Coons Wins Van Ek Award
Caryn Aviv, Posen Senior Lecturer in Secular Jewish Society and Civilization nominated Carly Coons for the Van Ek Award because of her strong academic strength, outstanding Jewish communal leadership and service, both on the CU campus, and the broader Colorado Jewish Community.  Undergraduate student Ms. Coons has a minor in Religious Studies. She has also earned 4 competitive scholarships from CU, the Program in Jewish Studies, and the Colorado Jewish Federation.  Carly Coons has been on the Dean’s List every semester since fall 2008.  Ms. Coons was also inducted into Ph Beta Kappa in fall 2011.  Congratulations to Carly Coons!
