Religious Studies M.A. students start "Technologies of the Self in Islam" Reading Group
Religious Studies M.A. students have started a "Technologies of the Self in Islam" Reading Group to study Professor Ebrahim Moosa’s monograph, Ghazali and the Poetics of Imagination.  The aim for this reading group is to gain insight into the processes and technologies through which the constitution of Muslim selfhood has historically taken place, as well as how it is formed at present.  The students hope to gain these insights through their analysis of Professor Moosa’s text, as well as through additional
supplemental readings thematically oriented around the construction of selfhood within the Islamic tradition.
