Maureen Kelly to Present Paper at Florida State University
Maureen Kelly will present a paper at the “Conference on Religion and Law in American History” at Florida State University. The conference will be held March 22-24, 2013 with keynote speaker Winnifred Fallers Sullivan. She will present her paper: “O'Lone v. Estate of Shabazz: On the American Justice System and Islam,” which addresses the definition of religion in the legal system, the implications of this definition, and the relationship of these legal definitions to religious subjectivities.
