Lighting and Electrical Systems Career Fair
In addition to the Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering Department Career Fair, the Lighting Program and CU IES Student Chapter are pleased to offer a smaller Lighting and Electrical Systems career fair.Ìý This event aims at connecting lighting and electrical systems employers with students seeking internships and full-time jobs in these two fields.
Dates
The Fall 2021 Lighting and Electrical Systems career fair will take place onÌýTuesday, November 16 (in person) from 9 am to noonÌýand Wednesday, November 17Ìý(online) from noon to 3:00 pmÌýMountain Time.Ìý This event brings companies to campus on Tuesday, but provides flexibility by offering an online opportunity on WednesdayÌýto out-of-state companies who are not able to travel orÌýcompanies who wish to follow up with selected students they met in person the previous day.
This event is by invitation. If your company is interested in participating next academic year, please send an email to Sandra Vásconez at sandra.vasconez@colorado.edu.

Companies
Companies attending the career fair are welcome toÌýprovide a short videoÌýshowcasing the company culture, notable projects, and a description of open positions and related expectations as a way of an introduction. While students are obliged to do research on companies, websites often lack details that a prospective lighting or electrical hire may need to understand their potential role in the company. The videos should be less than three minutes and need not be a high quality production.
Â鶹ÒùÔº
Companies will have access to Architectural Engineering students with an emphasis in lighting and electrical systems, and Environmental Design and other non-engineering students enrolled in our Lighting Design Certificate.Ìý
