Dear Infrastructure and Resilience team,
By now you should have received the announcement from Chancellor Schwartz that I&R will be restructured under Finance and Business Strategy (FBS) instead of Strategic Resources and Support (SRS) effective January 1. The I&R leadership team and I met with Chief Financial Officer Todd Haggerty yesterday and we are all thrilled about working under his leadership and collaborating with his team. He is trustworthy and responsive, and this structure will align more closely with higher education institutes around the country.
The winter season is upon us, a time when I look back on the year with pride for all we have accomplished. Chancellor Schwartz has inspired us to make quick changes, and I am thankful for your enthusiasm and support.
I encourage each of you to take some time for rest, spend quality time with loved ones and reach out for support if needed over the next few weeks. As a reminder, CU Boulder’s Health and Wellness Services has a lot of resources available, including self-care workshops, wellness training and counseling services.
For the third year, I’m looking forward to delivering I&R gift baskets to our teams. I enjoy being able to connect with you and expressing my gratitude for your dedication and hard work. Your commitment is the key to our success, and I am truly grateful for the team effort.
I am eager to celebrate with all of you at the I&R employee appreciation luncheon and awards ceremony coming up on January 23. I wish you a peaceful holiday season.
With gratitude,
Chris Ewing, vice chancellor for infrastructure and resilience
