Majid Zamani is an assistant professor in the Computer Science Department. He joined CU Boulder beginning of 2019 after spending more than 4 years as a faculty member at the Technical University of Munich in Germany. His research is mainly focused on ensuring mathematically that autonomous systems (e.g. self-driving cars or drones) operate safely. In particular, his team is developing novel mathematical tools by leveraging techniques from both control theory and computer science to design autonomous systems while providing formal guarantees on the correctness of their behaviours.
