On Aug. 4Keith Jones(Fin’05) andAbra Fine(Jour’06) tied the knot in Deer Valley, Utah. The couple met five years ago at a CU-Boulder alumni event in New York City and has been together since. Keith is a member of the Leeds School of Business GOLD Board and a vice president at Barclays. Abra is an account manager at Google. The couple lives in New York, N.Y., and continues to stay involved with the local alumni chapter.

After graduatingAndrew Dunkle(Art’07) taught English for a year in Taiwan and lived there for an additional year during which he co-founded , a website for studying, teaching, volunteering and interning abroad. She is part of VIE (International Business Volunteer), a government program that helps young European professionals find work for French companies overseas for six-to-24 month periods. Ross Finkel(Film’08) began a documentary project in his senior year at CU-Boulder, spending close to a year and a half in the developmental stage preparing to film the movie in the Dominican Republic. After four years, the filmBallplayer: Peloterois being released in theaters as well as on Video On Demand and iTunes. The documentary looks inside the world of professional baseball training camps in the Dominican Republic. Ross lives in Boulder.

Former CU student athlete and transgendered filmmakerLauren Lubin(Soc’08) is making a documentary titledGender Blender. The film is about nonbinary gender identities, and it follows Lauren as she undergoes surgery to transform her female body to become gender neutral. “This is so much about sharing our pride in ourselves and who we are,” she told theDaily Camera. Lauren resides in Northbrook, Ill., and writes she is happy the Alumni Association’s GLBTA chapter exists.

On May 13Lara Wahl(Acct’09) and her boyfriend miraculously survived a horrible car crash and explosion when a truck fell from an overpass onto their car as the couple was driving on Interstate 70 on their way to play tennis. The story appeared inThe Denver Post.Lara says, in retrospect, they snapped into fight-or-flight mode to survive. Lara works as an auditor and lives in Avon, Colo.
