#TeamFun Goes to Italy听

Highlights from episode 6:听The Amazing Race brought Floyd Pierce听(ApMath, Econ鈥�17) and听Becca Droz听(Anth ex鈥�12) from Norway to Milan, Italy. After Pierce completed a solo challenge of spotting specially marked neon signs from a dining trolley, #TeamFun cruised across beautiful Lake Como with the rest of the teams. Competition was, briefly, set aside for the night as the contestants wined and dined. When the sun rose, the race was back on.
For their final challenge of the leg, Pierce and Droz chose to scale a vertical rock wall in Menaggio. Droz, a rock-climbing instructor in Boulder, swiftly scrambled up the wall for their clue as Pierce belayed her below. After a speedboat ride to Tremezzo, the team sprinted to the checkpoint as the leaders. They also were greeted with a reward for winning first place: Six nights on an excursion-filled trip to Argentina after the race.
The last team to arrive was eliminated from the race, leaving only six teams left to compete for $1 million.

Team Background: Senior Floyd Pierce is a CU drum major, Herd Leader and Boettcher Scholar. Becca Droz teaches rock climbing at Boulder鈥檚 Movement Climbing. On the show, the two must compete against 11 other teams in a global race for $1 million while avoiding elimination at designated checkpoints.
