The Fullbright Scholar's&nbsp;informal discussion will be hosted by the <a href="/cnais/about-us" rel="nofollow">Center for Native America</a><a href="/cnais/about-us" rel="nofollow">n and Indigneous Studies</a> (CNAIS) in cottage, 1330 Grandview Ave., Boulder, CO 80309 on Wednesday, March 15th from 1-2pm.&nbsp;</p> <p>Salomon Tarquini's current Fullbright scholarship centers on research of histories of different indigenous peoples throughout the Americas, currently focusing on research of North American indigenous&nbsp;communities in the U.S. Her previous studies center&nbsp;on the indigenous peoples of her hometown, La Pampa, Argentina. Published works include,&nbsp;<em>Largas noches en La Pampa. Itinerarios y resistencias de la población indígena (1878-1976), (2010) [</em>Long Nights in La Pampa. I obtained my PhD from UC-Berkeley in French in 1993. I then spent two years in Hawaii, where I got involved with Hawaiian and Tahitian languages. I started at CU in the Department of French and Italian in 1995 working on historical anthropology . More recently, my focus is on contemporary Native America and linguistic anthropology, with a continuing secondary interest in Polynesia.
