DESCRIPTION.
Do you like literature? Do you like culture? Do you like interesting human beings? Do you like
thought provoking conversation? And most of all do you like to see big colorful ideas come to
life in a wonderful playground for you and your peers to immerse in together?
Welcome to the Jaipur Literature Festival! Described as the âgreatest literary show on Earthâ the
Jaipur Literature Festival is a sumptuous Feast of Ideas. The last decade has seen it transform
into a global literary phenomenon, hosting nearly 2000 speakers and welcoming over a million
book lovers from across Indian and the globe. The festivalâs core values remain unchanged; to
serve as a democratic, nonâaligned platform offering free and fair access. Every year, the Festival
brings together a diverse mix of the worldâs greatest writers, thinkers, humanitarians,
politicians, business leaders, sports people and entertainers on one stage to champion the
freedom to express and engage in thoughtful debate and dialogue.
For the past four years the greatest literary show on Earth has made a second home in Boulder,
CO bringing all the color, magic, emotion and conversations with it.
JLF Colorado is looking to integrate local creative minds to help tell its story and to build a more
meaningful footprint in the US for its fifth year! And are looking for a driven Social Media
Specialist to attract and interact with our targeted virtual communities and networks users.
THE ROLE.
The goal is to gradually achieve superior customer engagement and intimacy, website traffic and
revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap.
Social media specialists should have a solid understanding of how each social media channel
works and how to optimize content so that it is engaging on those channels. You are responsible

for joining relevant conversations on behalf of the JLF Colorado and âsoft sellingâ the festival by
interacting with literature contributors, industry influencers and prospective attendees.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
âBe apart of the brainstorming and overall strategy of finding JLFâs brand story in the US.
âWork with the local JLF team and India Team to build social media and grassroot marketing
campaigns to help reach a diverse range of demographics.
âCollaborate regularly with India Team and have an understanding of cultural media differences
and be able to sell ideas in relation to the unique cultural needs.
âGenerate, edit, publish and share regular content (original text, images, video or HTML) that
builds meaningful connections to JLF Coloradoâs identified audiences.
âSet up and optimize JLF Colorado pages within each platform to increase the visibility of
festivalâs social content including a monthly newsletter.
âContinuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights
and best practices, and then determining plans to act on the information
âJoin an overall international team that represents JLF from Jaipur, Boulder, New York, and
Houston.
QUALIFICATIONS.
âHave an extreme enthusiasm for literature, culture and diversity.
âCan create quality content in a fast paced environment and under tight deadlines.
â Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
âSome experience playing with Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, Audacity or other media
editing software
âStrong verbal and written communication skills
âIs a good storyteller with a creative soul.
âHas implemented big ideas from start to finish.
âSelf starter and can move forward independently
âKnows how to intelligently and sensitively communicate with diverse demographics.
âHas a good understanding of the media landscape both locally and nationally.
âUpbeat and positive attitude with the ability to quickly problem solve.
âIs passionate about bringing versatile cultural learning and events to the Boulder and Colorado
area.

TIMEFRAME.
February 28th, 2019 â October 1st, 2019. Bulk of the work will be between March â September.
