CAS finds itself at home inside CASE
While students were busy moving into their school year accommodations and faculty members were putting the finishing touches on their fall syllabi, the Center for Asian Studies was moving to a new home on campus over the past two weeks. Our new location is on the 3rd floor of the new CASE (Center for Academic Success and Engagement) Building. The new location brings us into the center of campus, which we think will open up new opportunities to connect with various units. The new suite provides an open floor plan that allows for collaboration and cooperation with our colleagues from the Program for Teaching East Asia and the American Association of Teachers of Japanese, and offers lovely views of the Flatirons. CASE is also home to many conference rooms where CAS will be holding committee meetings, public facing events, and student information sessions.
CAS was forced to relocate from the Center for Asian Studies building, our home of almost a decade near University and Broadway, as CU prepares that site for a new conference center. We understand that the site will be cleared and handed over to a developer as early as this January.
Our telephone numbers and campus box remain unchanged, but our new mailing address is Center for Asian Studies, CASE Building, Suite E330, 366 UCB, 1725 Euclid Avenue, Boulder, CO 80309-0366.
For information about upcoming CAS events, please view our event calendar. Let us know if you have any questions about our new location.
