- "Stochastic Decadal Projections of Colorado River Streamflow and Reservoir Pool Elevations Conditioned on Temperature Projections" was published in the Water Resources Research Journal December 2021. Co-Authors include David Woodson, Balaji Rajagopalan, Sarah Baker, James Prairie, Erin Towler, Ming Ge, and Edith Zagona.

- CADSWES is pleased to announce RiverWare version 8.2, available January 7, 2021. Highlights include: new web service DMI to import data from HDB, USGS or CWMS web services; usability improvements for the model comparison tool; enhanced rule-priority display, plotting and object filtering; and new and improved script actions.
- At the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) 2020 virtual annual meeting, held Nov. 7–13, 2020, Tim Magee of CADSWES presented “Production Cost Model Evaluation with a Hydropower Operations Model.” INFORMS is the leading international association for operations research, management science and analytics.
- “Understanding and managing new risks on the Nile with the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam,” was published in Nature Communications, Oct. 16, 2020. The study identifies risks and benefits of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) to Nile countries and highlights the necessity of coordinated drought planning.
- At a press conference on Sept. 15, 2020, Reclamation Commissioner Brenda Burman and Lower Colorado Regional Director Terry Fulp discussed the latest Colorado River Simulation Systems (CRSS) model forecasts. Decision support tools developed by CADSWES enable Reclamation to make operational decisions based on leading-edge technology and the best available science.
